Peppermint is a magical plant rich in vitamin C, iron and antioxidants. It can be used for almost all ailments: stomach, head, teeth, a cough or painful menstruation. It is also inexpensive. - free if you grow it yourself.
First you can use mint as a tea to treat nausea, digestive spasms, or for painful menstruation. What you need to do is steep mint leaves in boiling water, then remove leaves and drink.
You can also use mint as an inhaler for coughs, asthma, sinusitis or head colds. Put 50g of mint in 1 litre of boiling water - in a mixing bowl. Lower you face to the mixture - only as close as you find the temperature of the steam comfortable. Put a towel over you head - and breathe in the fumes for about 10 minutes.
Finally, you can use mint as a poultice for headaches, facial pain, toothache, rheumatism and "heavy" legs. Simply soften the leaves in warm water and apply them to the painful area.
