Frankincense essential oil is often used in natural perfumery, an ancient art that is making a comeback. I've also seen it used to scent candles. Of course Frankincense essential oil can be used in an essential oil burner to scent your home. If you want to make your own incense, it is better to use the solid frankincense resin, just like the stuff the Three Wise Men brought baby Jesus.

Frankincense essential oil slows down and deepens breathing, so it’s often used during religious ceremonies and places of worship because of its ability to relax and induce calmness.
Its antiseptic and expectorant action makes it useful for respiratory problems such as coughs and colds.
And as the Egyptians discovered when embalming their regal dead, frankincense rejuvenates skin, minimising the appearance of wrinkles, scars and stretch marks.
