What is a great gift for Father's Day? It is harder to find a good Father’s Day gift than a good Mother’s Day gift. For Mother’s Day I have ideas like flowers, candles, and body lotion products. However, I have difficulty coming up with ideas for a Father's Day gift.

For my Grandfather ( who I think of as my Dad) were going to get him a gift card to the tractor store. He is a landscaper and his yard has to be perfect, so I know he would like that.
Ideas:
Tool Set ~ Cheap at Wal-Mart
A Memory Album
Write a Poem about him, type it up, and frame it.
Buy a white coffee mug and hand paint something on it.
Dinner out, maybe a drink or two.
A gift card to his favorite place.
It all depends what his hobbies are.

My father loves Home Depot so alot of the times I have given him a Home Depot gift card. It's like his Wal-Mart. i am this year going to give him some soap that I have to order online that he loves. I'll get about three bars of it for him. i have also given him differnt store gift cards that I know he will like, since he is picky about things.

Think about what your Dad does to help him relax and get something connected with that. For instance, my hubby's idea of a very relaxing evening or week-end is to sit down and watch a dvd of a favorite TV show or a movie he's enjoyed. My daughters often buy him dvd's. Another favorite is any book on the pioneer days since he's interested in that. If your dad likes to read of watch movies or TV those are some things he might like receiving as a gift as well.
More guys are stating to enjoy special toiletries such as body washes and shampoos and lotions made especially for men. You might want to get him some 'pamper' items.
If he's the sentimental type, maybe you could get him a nice picture of the two of you together in a frame that says something about dads, or have a Tee-shirt, mug, mousepad made with your picture on it.

I know it's rather late, but a good suggestion would be to bring him on a chartered fishing trip. We did that with my father-in-law, but there were so many of us that we chartered the whole boat for a day!. We did it on the day before July 4th and had a great view of the fireworks display that we saw from off shore. My father-in-law had a ball. The whole family was together, we laughed and fished and he was in his glory.
If you can't round up enough to charter exclusively for your family, just take him out for the day. I'm sure he'll have a great time. Call around fishing charters in your area to shop for prices. They have half day and full day. Half day is plenty.
