You can try home remedies to make your skin fairer.

You will need the juice of 1 lemon, a pinch of turmeric, about 1 cup of finely powdered almond and grated cucumber and potato. Mix all this together and apply on face. Leave it on for about 30 minutes and then rub it in gently. Rise off.

Or there is another method. This is a face pack. Here is how you do it:

You will need 3 tsp of sandalwood powder, cucumber juice or rosewater, lemon juice and cold milk. Blend everything together and apply on face and neck. Let it dry and then rinse it off. Follow it up with a moisturizer.

One important tip- never go out without applying some sunblock.

MeAnswers, what are you doing advertising skin bleach?

Please, people, leave this stuff alone. It's not good for you, and you don't need to do this to yourself.

For hyperpigmentation/dark spots of the skin or an uneven tone, doctors recommend over the counter or prescription products containing hydroquinone, which can be found most anywhere. Ambi makes a product containing hydroquinone, vitamin E, alpha hydroxy acid and a sunscreen to gradually fade pigmentation. Sunscreens with a very high sun protection factor should be generously applied if an extended period of sun exposure is expected. Neutrogena Ultra Sheer sunblock SPF 70 may be applied on top of the hydroquinone product.

Photofacials, (intense pulse light treatments) can effectively remove discoloration in a dramatic fashion. These treatments are reasonably priced at some locations and cause no damage to the skin, (unlike typically laser treatments). Intense pulse light/AFT treatments affect hyperpigmentation, broken fine capillaries, enlarged pores, etc. with no "down time". I would recommend these procedures and have even had a light brown birth mark lightened. (See "Complete Laser Clinic" online for before and after photos).

The over the counter products are effective but the results are gradual. Photofacials break up excessive pigment and it is absorbed or flaked off in one to two weeks. Both remedies can produce satisfactory results.

Gluthatione seems to be the latest skin whitener to hit the markets. It is said to have bleaching and anti-oxidant properties. It has topical forms such as soaps, lotions and creams. There are also oral forms such as food supplements and capsules. I also heard of gluthatione treatments (injections?) administered by dermatologists. And I've seen people who became 'whiter' because of gluthatione. But consult your doctor first.

It is best to stay away from skin creams that use bleach to whiten your skin. You need to use a chamomile bath set. You can make a bath out of chamomile and soak in it every day. It will brighten and whiten your skin naturally.

You don't have to worry about it being uneven or having an adverse effect on you. It is the most natural and safe way to achieve whiter looking skin. You just make a bath with the chamomile and soak in it every day. You will notice a difference very soon.
