A girl should start taking care of her skin as soon as she is old enough to care about how she looks. A girl should wear moisturizers and foundation with a sunscreen as soon as she starts wearing make-up. With so many young girls choosing to tan in tanning beds, it is very important that they learn to use anti-aging lotions early on to help prevent skin damage before it starts. I do not recommend tanning beds - personally, I am opposed to them. But, if a girl is going to tan in one, then she needs to take anti-aging measures as soon as she decides to use a tanning bed. However, it is never too early to start anti-aging measures whether a girl likes to get a tan in a tanning bed, whether she likes to get a tan in the sun, or whether she doesn't like to tan at all. Keeping your skin young looking works best if you start when your skin is young.

The single most important topical anti-aging product you can use is sunscreen. Wear sunscreen EVERYDAY. Over time, repeated exposure to UVA/UVB rays age the skin. Put it on the exposed parts of your body, paying special attention to the face, chest, neck and hands. If you're concerned about being greasy and/or you don't want to buy two products, one for your face and one for your body, I highly recommend Neutrogena Dry-Touch sunscreen. It is broad spectrum, which is essential, along with being non-greasy and instantly absorbing. It is hypoallergenic and doesn't clog pores, so you can use it on your face as well.
At age 25, I started using anti-aging products. I like to try different things so I tend to rotate products, especially those from Neutrogena and Roc. Right now I'm using Neutrogena's Ageless Intensives Anti-Wrinkle Moisturizer with retinol SA and SPF 20. At night I use their Ageless Restoratives Anti-Oxidant cream, which I really like but they've recently discontinued it. I've been using them for only a few days but I already notice my skin is much smoother.
As far as Roc goes, a lot of their products have retinol. I didn't care for their Retinol Corexxion eye cream because I didn't notice much of a difference (I also tend to think that eye creams aren't truly necessary). They also have serums for night and day, as well as for sensitive skin. Their Multi-Corexxion night cream is good.
The goal isn't to be forever young but to age gracefully. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure and you don't want to wait to start taking care of yourself. And this is more than skin-deep. With at least moderate exercise, a balanced diet rich in fresh fruit, vegetables and whole grain, stress-management, healthy loving relationships and a positive attitude, your skin won't be the only thing about you that's glowing.

I have always taken care of my skin from when I was a teenager. My routine was always to cleanse, tone and moisturize twice a day - morning and night. When I reached the age of 30, I started to use anti-wrinkle creams, serums and moisturizers. I am 47 years old now and my skin still feels like it was 10 years ago.
I think that if you do use a good moisturizer containing an SPF all year round and use anti wrinkle formulas, it will make a noticeable difference in the end. Some of my friends the same age have never bothered preferring as they say to "grow old gracefully", but they look their age. If you can look younger and keep away the wrinkles by a simple skin regime then I wouldn't hesitate. I also use a firming creme on my body with noticeable results after several weeks.
